Behavior Assessment Team 

The Behavior Assessment Team (BAT) is committed to improving the NC State community through a proactive, multidisciplinary and coordinated approach to the prevention, identification, assessment, intervention and management of the safety and well-being of our campus community. Climbing Center 

The Climbing Center consists of two types of indoor climbing: roped climbing and bouldering. Bouldering is available for drop-in use any time the Wellness and Recreation Center is open, while roped climbing has set hours where staff are on-site.

Faculty and Staff Assistance Program 

The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FASAP) offers no-cost counseling services for eligible employees and their household members to address stress, relationship, personal and family issues (three free sessions per issue). Counseling services available by phone, in-person or virtually.

Faculty and Staff Ombuds Office 

The faculty ombuds office is independent, impartial, informal and confidential and helps to strengthen relationships across the university, engages with people to help inform critical decisions, monitors trends and promotes fair process.

Gregg Museum of Art and Design 

To accompany and enhance its exhibitions and other educational activities, the Gregg Museum schedules a wide range of programs, including lectures, artist residencies, film screenings, virtual and in-person tours, and other immersive art experiences throughout the year. All are open to NC State and general public audiences.

Group Fitness 

Group fitness classes are included with a Wellness and Recreation Center membership at no extra cost. With 85+ group fitness classes each week, offerings include strength, dance, cycle, HIIT, yoga and more.

Intramural Sports 

The Wellness and Recreation Intramural Sports program offers a variety of individual and team activities to the NC State community. More than 7,000 participants compete in over 40 different league sports and special events annually.

Power Lunch 

The Power Lunch series promotes health and well-being for NC State staff and faculty. Experts are invited to present on various wellness topics, with virtual and in-person sessions held.

Well Wolfpack Certified Organizations 

The Well Wolfpack Certification allows workplaces and student organizations to infuse holistic well-being practices into their college, department, unit or group and earn recognition for their efforts.

Wellness Challenges 

These free activities are designed to educate participants on healthy lifestyle practices and support their application into our daily routine. Work to improve your holistic well-being with challenges focused on movement, hydration, nutrition, mindfulness and sleep.

Wellness Champions 

Wellness Champions are NC State staff and faculty who have a special interest in facilitating an innovative culture and environment of wellness in their college, unit or department.

Wellness Education Sessions 

Level up your wellness knowledge with an interactive and informational session designed for classrooms, departmental meetings and student organizations. Led by Wellness and Recreation, topics include: creating a culture of wellness, resiliency, movement, mindfulness, stress management, time management, self-care and sleep.

Wolfpack Wellness Badge Program 

Earn recognition for enhancing your holistic well-being by completing activities that align with NC State’s six elements of wellness: purpose, financial, physical, emotional, social and community. Exposure to these elements will better prepare individuals to identify and translate them into real-world applications for personal growth and continued well-being.
