There are dozens of resources available at NC State to help you take charge of your wellness, tackle mental health challenges or simply find community on campus. Use the filters below to narrow down the list of resources — or search for a specific resource by name.

Couples Counseling 

Couples therapy at the NC State Counseling Center is an option for treatment if both students are enrolled in academic instruction.

Faculty and Staff Ombuds Office 

The faculty ombuds office is independent, impartial, informal and confidential and helps to strengthen relationships across the university, engages with people to help inform critical decisions, monitors trends and promotes fair process.

Legal Aid of North Carolina 

We provide support to North Carolinians who are unable to afford an attorney.

Psychiatric Services 

The Counseling Center offers psychiatric evaluation and other psychiatric services. Students are eligible for two psychiatric appointments before any additional fees are assessed. If you think you need medication management, you must see a counselor at the Counseling Center first.

Raleigh ACORNS 

The City of Raleigh’s ACORNS (Addressing Crises through Outreach, Referrals, Networking and Service) program was established as a proactive team that works with residents in crisis and directs them to available resources. The ACORNS team combines social workers and law enforcement officers who are tasked to help by using the most appropriate and least invasive interventions possible.

Survivor Support Services 

The NC State Women’s Center has trained advocates who support survivors of interpersonal violence (domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, etc.) in understanding their options and navigating healing and recovery. The NC State Women’s Center serves ALL NC State students and we welcome students of all gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations. Wellness Education Sessions 

Level up your wellness knowledge with an interactive and informational session designed for classrooms, departmental meetings and student organizations. Led by Wellness and Recreation, topics include: creating a culture of wellness, resiliency, movement, mindfulness, stress management, time management, self-care and sleep.
