Schenck Forest

Sitting on 245 acres of land, Schenck Forest is a unique site that benefits NC State students, faculty and staff as well as the broader Raleigh community. The forest provides outdoor laboratories for students and faculty, publicly accessible trails, an arboretum and 50 acres of dedicated hardwood preservation. It’s located about 10 minutes from NC State’s campus.

WellRec maintains the university’s challenge course, climbing center and hosts a variety of trips throughout the year. The center and gym also rents out equipment to the campus community.
